One of Australia's foremost DJ's celebrates twenty-six years!
Since the late 80's, Australia's dance party culture has been shaped by the sounds of Mark Alsop. From its humble beginnings to the richness of today's party and clubbing culture, Mark has remained in the forefront of this dynamic environment. He has influenced the Australian circuit party scene since 1988, and continues to impress with his style, diversity and adaptability.
In addition to his widespread DJ experience, Mark has done edits and remixes for many labels that were initially released in Australia and the United States, and subsequently distributed globally. He continues to restructure and re-edit much of the music that he plays.
Mark Currently resides at, The Colombian Hotel, The Bank Hotel, The Civic and the newest night promoted my MA15+ is called "Faction" @ the Oxford Underground. There are also guest appearances at many other clubs around Australia and beyond. His party residencies are Toybox, Indulgence, Inquisition, and Chunky. His styles can range from Uplifting Vocal House with sexy, scintillating synths, addictive, slightly sinister bass-lines; and mean, sometimes bitchin' vocals, to dark and dirty Electro! Mark ensures continuity by reworking much of this music in the studio. His sound is both stimulating and inspiring!
His knowledge has often been used by ARIA to help compile the Official Australian Club chart, and Mark is often asked yearly to be a judge in the impressive ARIA awards which recognize outstanding achievement within the Australian recording industry.
